DragonNest Dictionary

D

Difficulty (DN)

All Fields and Dungeons are Instanced. Each Dungeon Hub will have from three to five Dungeons, and each Dungeon has five levels of Difficulty: Easy, Normal, Hard, Master and Abyss. All of the levels can be solo'd (level depends on your class) but they are designed for the recommended number of players.
  • Easy - Solo - You're momma could handle this. Good when you are still in diapers or when the big, bad monster is too tough for you.
  • Normal - Solo - Designed to offer a reasonable challenge but nothing too drastic.
  • Hard - 2 Players - Challenge for single players.
  • Master - 2 to 4 Players - Serious challenge for single players.
  • Abyss - 4 Players - Soloing this is gonna hurt and you are almost sure to suffer a death. Better have rezzes available.
Hard and Master have very few Food drops making them harder to stay healthy in. Abyss will drop Food only very rarely (as you are expected to have a healer in the party).
As you might expect, a number of things are very different in an Abyss-difficulty dungeon.
  • All the mobs you encounter will be stronger than you have faced before, but you were expecting that.
  • There will be elite mobs scattered among the regular enemies. These will be stronger and faster than their fellows and often display a wavering smoke or aura around their bodies. There will be 1-3 of these in every group of mobs you fight, and their names will appear in orange.
  • There will be sub-bosses, usually 1-2 per stage. Their names will be in purple and the name will be visible at a larger distance (even before you can see their bodies).

Dimensional Rabbit (DN)

The Silver, or Gold, Dimensional Rabbit appears at the end of every Abyss dungeon, sits atop his box and dispenses 1-3 prizes to all the good little boys and girls. His gifts include but are not limited to the following:
The Gold Dimensional Rabbit can also drop Epic items (Armor, Weapons, Plates, Sparks, etc.) but he is extremely rare.
If you have a Dimensional Box Key in your inventory clicking on the Rabbit will use one to unlock his better prizes. Worry not, though! If you do not have a key he will still give you something.

Treasure Chest (DN)

In all Dungeons there will be at least one Treasure Chest, usually hidden somewhere behind some boxes, barrels or a wooden barricade. Sometimes you must open a door to reach the chest and it may not be obvious. Treasure Chests come in wood, metal and Royal. Metal chests tend to have more coin (like silver) and better items. Move your target reticule over the lock to get the Key icon, then click to open the chest, then pick up the contents.
Very rarely you may find a Royal Treasure Chest which will have a lot more coin of higher value (gold!) and magic, rare or epic items. This does not replace the regular treasure chests for the dungeon and usually, but not always, appears right next to one.

Titles

Titles are earned by completing Achievements. Some titles are purely cosmetic and let other players know of your progression through the world. Others actually add bonuses. Because of this you can have two titles at any time, one is your Display Title and the other is for Attributes.
See DNArmory for a list of all the Titles you can earn. Many will have posted comments by players that tell you how to get them.
